There's a reason the race is on Saturday. Jeebus is way too busy with NASCAR on Sunday.Wow, nothing says ball sports doldrums like jeebus actually caring about bicycle galas. Gwin is just fortunate WC races don't occur during late tacklesport season, which as we all know is his preferred past time.
Has Mulally like lost a limb or something this season? Seemed that last year he was poised to win won of these races, now he can't even top ten?Gwin. By 3.5 over Minnar
Lucas Shaw 16 place +7sec
Mullaly 44 +17
Did somebody slip some cocaine into to George Brannigan's breakfast?
Brannigan....... BEST RACE RUN EVER
no voice lol... were you with @kickstand at the beginning part of the track? we were watching the end of juniors/ beginning of womens at the timeShoulder hurts from so much cowbell
No I didn't make it up the mountain until just before men's startedno voice lol... were you with @kickstand at the beginning part of the track? we were watching the end of juniors/ beginning of womens at the time
I agree. It was a huge crowd compared to last year. What a shame it's not coming back next year.God damn why couldn't have attendance been this good the past few years?

possibly a good amount of people knew it was the last racefirst time windham had something that looked like a crowd, what happened?
What a race.
Gwins run was completely nuts. Like Hill in Val di sole he was totally on the edge, but whitout crashing in the last turn.
Ratboy in the whoops was so cool to watch.
Bruni with the entry through the rocks on this left hander. The kid is so good, but has so much bad luck. I couldn't believe that he got a puncture.
I am more and more a fan of Minnaar. The guy is a pure class act.
How he went to Bruni and was gutted for him showed a lot to me. "When do you finally get some luck dude?"
whoa whoa whoa... this kind of conversation needs to be in the VDS UCI CHAMPSZZ thread.Overall points now:
1 GWIN Aaron 1089
2 MINNAAR Greg 954
3 BRUNI Loic 869
4 BROSNAN Troy 823
5 BRYCELAND Josh 709
Don't know what it would take for GM to win, but assuming they both qualify close to one another, I'd guess Gwin would have to have a quite poor result and GM would need to either win or be second. Hope Monarch is right and some sky jizzle makes things interesting.
He also gave a master's class on how anyone who isn't Gwin should ride a DH bikes. So smooth, in control, and smart. That guy is such an amazingly talented and wise rider.I am more and more a fan of Minnaar. The guy is a pure class act.

And in the freetime he does Supermen has some of the best whips in the business, and teaches Ratboy and Peaty how to flip. And all that in between model jobs.He also gave a master's class on how anyone who isn't Gwin should ride a DH bikes. So smooth, in control, and smart. We were with our friends from PA, they're blue mountain area peoples.no voice lol... were you with @kickstand at the beginning part of the track? we were watching the end of juniors/ beginning of womens at the time
To be fair thats probably one of the only tracks which doesn't suit Minnaar as it is so short. I think his only weakness is not getting up to speed quickly. In that heatmap-statistics by Dirt he alsmost always seemed to be getting faster and faster as long as the track got. Gwin seems like a more complete rider when he's on but I don't know if he will match GMs consistency with his strategy...He also gave a master's class on how anyone who isn't Gwin should ride a DH bikes. i'm thinking tire on seat.http://www.redbull.com/uk/en/bike/stories/1331740254742/windham-2015-world-cup-downhill-finals-highlights-video
Redbull highlight video in RAW!!!
The sound of Gwins bike on the drop around the 3 minute mark...
Suspension or tires?
Ehh, I'm pretty sure that's the death rattle of a bike that is getting obscenely abused. The UN may send bikeatarian observers to the next race to document the egregious treatment of these poor, innocent gravity chariots. I look forward to the somber NPR report afterwards.i'm thinking tire on seat.
There was a fair amount of people still there. The ESC hosted the citizens race, and the XC race was going on, so there was still about 50% of the people that watched the DH still around to watch some XC racing and some more DH and or race ourselves.Naive question, but does anybody know how the XC race crowd was? It would appear that certain members of the Saturday contingent would be hard pressed to be ambulatory on sunday.
Those points are still close enough that(assuming Minaar is aiming to win VDS) Gwin has to aim for top 5 Qualy and Finals to make sure he takes overall. Top 5 means he's still racing instead of playing it safe.Overall points now:

2 MINNAAR Greg 954
