Criteria:
  • 31.8 clamp
  • Aluminum
  • At least 800mm wide
  • Ideally 25mm rise
  • No more than 7 degrees backsweep
Closest I'm aware of are Renthal (20 and 30mm rise) and Kore OCD (20mm rise). What did I miss? Go!

There are eleventy billion 31.8mm aluminum bars with more than 7 degrees of backsweep. That's the part that makes this hard.

Useless! You're all useless!

But yeah, if I can't find a 25mm rise that fits the rest of the criteria I'll buy one of the 20mm ones and make it work. It's going on a bike with a dual crown, direct mount stem, and no room to put spacers under the top crown though, so it's not the ideal spacer situation.

I know DM stem spacers are a thing, and I do have some, but for a variety of reasons I'd rather not use them.

Their 30 mm bar is more like a 25 mm, depending on how you measure:

Are you going notice 2° of backsweep? Except for 9° of backsweep the Deity Black Label ticks all your boxes...

Of course having seen pictures of your bikes you probably would feel the difference.

My wrists would, will also shorten the cockpit 10mm or so depending on where the bend starts.

Yes, and I'm speaking from experience. I know what I like dammit! Also, I'd prefer like, 5. I just know that nobody makes that, 7 is a compromise.

The old Thomson low rise DH bar is my favorite one ever. 6/4. But 12mm rise only. They went to like 9/5 or some shit when they went to a 20mm rise.

@slimshady Solid effort. I think that Troy Lee one is mislabled though, everywhere else I've seen lists it as 9 degree.

The old world
Peter and Heike who own Reverse are downhillers so at least there's that. She hits legit road gaps in Chatel at 50 years old.
I’m still lusting after that gorgeous Solid Enduro prototype from a few years back, too bad it never made it to production.

Yup, if he has asked for a specific shape it's probably because he likes that shape......
Assuming an 800mm bar has a 100mm section with no bend you will lose 12.2mm of reach going from a 7back to a 9.
I am still running 5/5 but my bar is crabon and 35mm, I like it, I'm 6ft tall with normal width shoulders and I cut it to 770mm, the forced elbows out position suits me.
If I have more backsweep I'd run the bar wider, to me it doesn't feel like I have the same level of control with the additional sweep.

Reverse Have the Nico Vink which is 5/7 but is only 18 or 35mm rise.
They have another one that is a fair bit lighter but is only 790mm
EDIT- Didn't see the E-bike bar post, hahaha!
