Well after months of searching the German ebay sites, I finally found the frame I've been looking for without the high price. It was just a matter of translating emails. Thank God for lingo.com
I was thinking about the Helius FR for a trail bike but ever since I changed my fork on my UFO it has been more versitile even long xc rides. Since I have it in my head to get a frame, I was considering the ST model as a light DH rig. I love my Nucleon especially when plowing thru technical...
My friend along with the NYC Freeride crew went to interbike for work and play. I gave him a mission to find replacable dropouts for my Nucleon and UFO but he said Nicolai didn't come this year, nor did 24 bikes. What's up with that? especially with having a g-boxx frame in production. Maybe...
My crew is going on Sunday but I wanted to go Saturday to make practice, chill & film. Since I'll be solo I don't want to spend loot on a hotel room. I was planning on camping out in the lot by the race but I'm not sure if I'm allowed.
Anyone else camping out at Reading? what are your plans?
I was just reading Inside the Pros' Bikes in Mountain Bike Action and they featured Greg Minnaar's new rig. The bike looks phat, and the claimed weight is about 40 lbs. The thing that got me boggled was when I read, Infomation is not avalible on estimated value of the bike but Honda's spokesman...
Just spent the weekend at Platty and had another great time. The weather held up even though we were expecting a hurricane and tropical storm. I finally did my first DS race. What fun! Doing the DS made my body all warmed up to race the DH on Sunday. The DH course was filled with lot's of off...
OK, As you might know I'm really like'n the looks of the Nicolai Helius FR. I own a UFO now but it's been hurting my lower back on long rides. I guess because of the slack seat post stay, other then that I love whipping it around when I'm not seating. Do you think the Helius would be a better...
I'm building up a 26" rear wheel and I want something UST. I plan on using it for urban freeride, light dh, and alot of trail riding. I was considering the Mavic X819, do any of you Monkeys use them or do you think there is something better. Thanks for any input.
This past weekend was the best I had all year. First off, both lifts were running. Being on the old lift made me feel like the first time I was there. It was good to be on the old side of the mountain without walking. It was also good for freeriders not waiting on a long lift line with racers...
I can't find it anywhere. Is it there and I just can't find it or did the new server eliminate it. I hope not or we're going to have the same topics coming up every week.
I just finished watching it. HOLY SH..
These riders are getting better and better. It was also cool to see alot of fimilar places and face on the video.
If anyone needs copies I can get them shipped out at a good price.
I just picked up a pair of ST tires because it rained 90% of the time every race last year. Since I'm using the Stan's it is a pain in the neck for me to change tires.
If I keep the ST tires on how do they perform on dry summer conditions? Are the better than a pair of Gazzi's?
After getting a UFO-DS with a Rohloff Speedhub this winter, I was spoiled with being able to shift on a fly without pedalling. I got so use to it these past few months that I wanted my DH rig to have the same shifting, so I put my Stab Primo frame for sale and got a Nucleon ST.
Thanks...
