War victim compensation

I know when I was in the box we handed out quite a bit of money for compensation losses and it was a way better relationship down the road when we would roll through town. we got more intel, made more friends and even notifed (unprompted) away from danger areas when rolling through.

you have to keep in mind that the average afgan/iraqi is lucky to make 75 bucks for the month. a little bit of money goes along way in those countries and they are more likely to prove thier worth when they know it is beneficial for them.

as far as collateral damages/casualties go we made it a very stern point in thier customs that we were showing heart felt concern and showing humility when it came to family matters.

war may be the machine but money greases the wheels

We Probably could have saved money and lives if we just bought every single one of them off. Wouldn't have been 100% effective but very possibly more effective that what have been doing.

Who are we paying off and why...and what does the $$ paid finance? If it ends up in the hands of those who lost family property etc, thats fine. But like all the other programs that have been scewed up in this abortion of an occupation, it surely will be f@cked up...
