I bought them (barely) used. 2011 Salomon X-wing Enduro 84 with Z12 bindings. At this point I don't mind used. As the pair I am retiring were 1998 Salomon Axendo Series that I got for free when I skied for a local radio station's promo team. I was due.
You should buy the fancy, expensive Park headset press so that doesn't happen.

i went the sandwich route and got a sette
(they apparently make a headset press that is pretty well built - except for the off size flanges on the adapters - that's about half the cost of the park press)

Threaded rod, nuts and fender washers. Must have installed 25 headsets in the past 10 years with it, no issues. AND cost about $5.i went the sandwich route and got a sette
