I'm in a similar situation where I'll have access to CNC, welding, and carbon fabrication equipment for the next 3 months. I've already got three projects I'm already planning:
In Hawaii I have a cheap beach cruiser with basket that's really convenient. In CO I have an a 3k carbon-everything rigid MTB I use as a townie. I really miss having a basket so I'm gonna make a carbon basket for it.
I fly with my dog a lot and his kennel is 19lb which puts him over the 70lb weigh cut off. I'm gonna make a 5lbish carbon dog kennel.
I need to make a derailleur hanger nut for my Nomad with an 8mm rather than the stock 6mm hex so I can send a 6mm allen through it to access the Extralite thru-axle.
