automatic are at 8speeds already....its beginning to sound like bicycle drivetrains...there will be a huge fuss when 9speeds come out and when 10speeds arrive, all hell will break loose.
As long as I do not have to do all the shifting its fine with me. When I was in Denmark over the summer and rented a 6 speed manual I hated it. All the damn shifting.

Awesome if 7 is an actual overdrive gear. My VW 6 speed is a close ratio gear box. Might make sense on the track but no sense in the real world. I want that top gear for interstate cruising at 70, not a final gear for when I get to speed at 55.
