finally dropped the hammer on a pistol and got a S&W M&P 9mm. i really wanted their range kit (3 mags, mag holster, holster and speed loader) but couldnt find it anywhere so i ended up getting the extras that i wanted. i got a Blackhawk Serpa holster, LuLa speed loader and 200rds of Remington 115grain.
the gun feels great with the larger grip on it but is a bit heavy for the pants i wear when i wear it concealed. its not too big of a concern since im getting my fiance the M&P9 compact as a late xmas present which ill use too.
I got the S&W over the Sig 2022 i was looking at mainly because of ergonomics, lack of accessories and more importantly, build quality.
i found a 24hr range near my house that ill be joining tomorrow and trying to get as much range time as possible. both my fiance and i are going to be taking a basic handgun class then a advanced class after that. im not new to handguns but id still like to take classes to be even more confident, especially carrying it concealed.
edit: whats weird is at two stores, the trigger pull feel a bit gritty before firing but this one i bought doesnt feel that way at all.
