It depends on the board and how much you tuck and the steepness of the hill. The fastest Ive ever gotten is about 50mph. It was pretty scary but still awesome.
Top speed was reported as 90kph+. Trucks in NZ are speed limited to it and it seems quite likely considering the speed with which the white lines were burring by, that a truck was heading down a big ass hill and that the boarder totally whipped past him.
Thats part of it. But a lot of the death wobble is from inexperience. If you keep your board straight and control turns its almost nonexistent. I've seen people get speed wobbles on my board at >30kph but I've been 80-85kph without getting them on the same board. And 95kph sounds about right for a top speed because they use bigger wheels so they can go a little faster
The trucks have much larger turning radius than a regular skateboard truck. Making the board longer increases the turning radius even more. Basically, it turns so slow you can't get into that positive feedback loop.
