Knife-wielding family fights police at N.H. fun park

They should have shot them.

After several verbal warnings, an officer told one man he was under arrest and tried to handcuff him, leading to the fight that included people jumping on the backs of the officers, punching, kicking and grabbing for their weapons, police said. Two officers were injured, including one who was treated at a hospital for a dislocated shoulder.

As backup officers arrived, the mother of the family faked a seizure, police said. She was examined by paramedics and released at the scene.

I have no idea where I am

“This country was founded on our freedom. People can come in carrying their gun, and they can pray over their food.”
Right there it is, the fundamental problem with this country. Mixing violence (or at least the paranoid need to be armed) and religion is common place and rarely questioned. They see themselves as good, God fearing, Christians yet completely ignore their savior's non violent message.

That's really what it's been reduced to.

It's like wearing a spice girls t-shirt. Hopefully this goes out of style too.

There was a story a day on the local news about about a PTSD war vet that's all messed up and can't sleep without a "loaded gun" next to him. Why do we let PTSD guys own guns? Is it taboo because it's a vet? wtf?

my roommate from pj school got messed up during '01 when he went into afgh. acting out [gun / money caches, stealing cars so he couldn't be "followed", a trail of burner phones, uber paranoid in public], so the VA declared him a ward of the state.

that's how you fix it, sad to say.

Because it's the law of this great nation. He has every right to own a gun, even if he's really unstable and may snap at any time. After he snaps and goes on a killing spree, they will then decide he might not be fit to own a gun.

Kinda like the idea so many people need to die at an intersection before they put in a traffic control device.
