I have a crusty set of smith MX goggles. They have a single paned lens. Can I use them for skiing? They DO fit over my head.

They are gonna fog up like a mother. Get ski goggles.
They'll fog up. You can treat them with some anti-fog and that might help. Also, you can probably by double-paned replacement lens for them through Smith too.
if its snowing then i dont think you would be stoked. also you would ge better uv pro from something eles i would think

the lenses I have are red mirrored...great for high sun, but kind of meh for low light.

Don't torture yourself by trying to make them work. Hell - even double-lensed ski goggles can fog up under the wrong conditions.
