wow gnarly course. seems like the top 3 were hesitant to throw big tricks. understandably so judging by the steep, rocky course. nice job.

Jeez, how do you judge this comp... Whoever makes it through the whole course alive wins? That first drop is freaking massive as well as most of the other features.

Bikes have come a long way, won that on a single crown. remember when bender would do drops like the first one on like 13" of travel and a 50lb bike. . .

There are 4 categories being judged and each judge gives an overall score on the category they are responsible. Timo judged fluidity, Kurt Sorge judged tricks, Fabien Pedemanaud judged engagement/charge factor and Arno Cuchner judged line choice.

Looked pretty hard to judge.. Definitely had to mute the videos to maintain a train of thought as well. Course was gnar though.

Downhill biking (DH) is a gravity-assisted time trial mountain biking event. Riders race against the clock, usually starting at intervals of 30 seconds (seeded from slowest to fastest), on courses which typically take two to five minutes to complete. Riders are timed with equipment similar to that used in Downhill skiing. The placing is determined by the fastest times to complete the course; races are often won by margins of under a second. As the name of this discipline implies, downhill races are held on steep, downhill terrain with no extended climbing sections, resulting in high speed descents with extended air time off jumps and other obstacles. The 2009 Downhill World Champion is Steve Peat from the UK.
