Oh yeah!

There are 3 long needle like skrews to attach/tighten the BB cups together. Real simple. You tighten those skrews once you BB has been moved enogh so the chain is tight, the tighten the cranks like normal 3 pieces.

tu comprends?
Thanks man, so it's basically kinda like BB reducer cups to go from a STD to EURO BB right?

Yes.

All BMW's rule, I agree.
But there are a few that stand out in a claas of their own:
TMX
Big Link
Race Link
Mini Link FQ

;)

Oh and BTW, I wasn't referring to BMW (the car)
Just the bikes. I hate cars, nothing but depreciating piles of metal. Bike is a much better investment, and much easier to clean/maintain, and will last a hell of a lot longer, well, maybee. Now if I was Donald Trump, then I wouldn't mind getting that M3 with the supercharger
:)

see, I think the point a lot miss is that once you get a brooklyn mini link, there is no need for other bikes ;) :thumb:
You can never have enough Brooklyn's.

Anyway, when you have all the Brooklyn's you can start on other stuf. MX bikes, Xr50's, cars etc.

Well, I doubt I will be able to ride it comfortably on the trail, especially after just building the Hollowpoint MTX. Maybee I'm wrong, but I envision the feel to be a bit of an overgrown BMX type geometry and ergonomical feel. Hopefully I'm wrong. I bought a BMX recently and it was a big mistake as I just can't ride the thing. I'm a total ape at 6' on the thing. Hopefully that will not be the case on a 24" bike.

Big BMX - Yes sort of.
I'm 6 feet and 200 punds, and i ride the mini.
Let me put it like this: It's as manuverable as a BMX bike, but as confortable and shock absorbing as a DH bike.

Get it? It's hard to explain the Mini's riding abilities, because it's something totally in it's own class.

Just wait till you get it, you'll be amazed, and definetly NOT disapointed. :thumb:  :D :dancing: :p

Just to mention - I've had the Mini for about 8 month. This would be the time when I start to encounter flaws on the bike and such. The only flaws I've found, have been parts I've put on that just can't keep up with the frame.

I have nothing whatsoever to complain about. Not even the Avy shock. It's still as good as ever.

Just a tip - You'll want to buy a THE DH fenders to cut down and make holes through, so you can use it on the shockprotecter mounts on the frame. Check the pictures of my mini, and Shortbus (?).

What's the point of them?

Cool color though...
Much shorter spokes builds a rediculously strong wheel.

Actually, I believe Bender quit running the Seismic hubs because the wheel was too strong and he was snapping spokes left and right.

Plus, the machining on those is top notch and the pimp factor is right off the charts ;)

Yeah I was going to ask you guys about that? Did you use a front fender for that or what? Did you have to fabricate some sort of mounting bracket, or drill into the swingarm. I'm pretty good with that type of stuff, but don't want to drill into the swingarm if I don't have too. However it's steel so I guess that's not that big of a worry. Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it.

The mini have an welded mount for the fender on the swingarm. YEs you just use a front THE DH fender that you kinda cut up slowly and then drill and bolt on. Voila. Needs patience with cutting though for sure. I still feel mine isn't as THICK as the one I had on the TMX. It kinda flops around when i jumps which makes annoying flopping sounds.

hahaaa, booboo racing the nationals. fastest chiuahua this side of the mississippi. it was an honor to have the superstar on my bike. extremely cool to meet you and your old lady as well...but i'm a sucker for celebrity and ever since seeing mr poochie tear it up on your old imperial, i've been a fan.

slammerhammer, no drilling your brooklyn, eh. they have a nifty little mount already for you to fix your shock protecting fender to. even if they didn't, i couldn't imagine intentionally altering the tubing of a bike in any way. i'm of the mindset that engineers have every spec of that stuff calculated for strength/durability/performance, so drilling into their equation would then negate the engineering. however i am not a machinist or an engineer so i've got little to stand on here except assumption.

haha yeah it was great meeting you and hanging out for as long as racing hecticness could allow :D

You know i've seen people drilling holes into their frames/parts to save weight too. I wonder how much weight could be shaved off a brooklyn that way.

 :JUST KIDDING DO NOT TRY IT AT HOME OR ANYWHERE:

Shortbus - The old THE fenders were very thin (broke mine :nopity: ), but the new ones, which I just bought are very thick, and has the exact rounding to match the 24" wheel.

Chromegoddess - You know i'm gonna have to see that bike of yours once I get to NY!!!!

It's such a PINK Girlie bike! :eviltongu

I want to share something with you.
I was going to give this photo as a personal gift to Chromegoddess, but I just can't help myself in a room full of BMW lovers. So here it is. Finally, a photo of someone (me) riding a Mini Link.

Enjoy

i won't be working much longer if i keep this up, that's for sure. how is it forums are addicting? is it a crave for communication? perhaps the odd sense of publication or importance one feels when their point of view is being regarded in some way?? whatever it is, it's not what i'm paid for so i'd better shape up. but to continue (haha).. americans never sleep, that's why we're so cranky all the time. and hey, who are you callin' girlie!?!?! oh wait...that's right, i am. guess that does make my race link a girls bike.

got a triple8 on that thing now. sweeeeet ride. taller, lighter, little better in keeping up with the rear. plus (and most pimportantly) it looks better than the gold shiver.

EDIT: fantastic photo marcus!! from the thumbnail it looked like moab. thanks for sharing with the class. would you email me a higher res version of it?? very very cool shot. and those are some mighty kind words you speak, thank you. not sure i'm worthy, but i'll try to live up to it.

Ah shucks! I thought it was cool that a girl was running a huge fork like that. Guess you can always hop back on the TMX with the Monster T though.
