Well I took a break from work today and decided to go down to the water and take some pics of my new dh bike.

07 Morewood Izimu
Fox DHX 5/ 40rc2
Sram x.9/juicy 7
e.13 ali/lg1/ring
holzfeller/howitzer
Crank-Bros Acids (also have some 50/50xx)
SDG I-Beam post/seat
Chromag bars
Outlaws & Minions

straitline levers and possibly ti spring to come...probably sits around 41+ lbs as shown, maybe a little more with the 5050s.

Yeah, my DHX & ti is 699g, so going to an air would save me almost exactly 0.5lb.

if your frame was 10.25 with a steel spring I'd guess that the shock/spring was about 800g which puts the frame only at 8.5lb - very light indeed!

Carbon bars.... don't get me wrong, I'm tempted. But I'm just saying no for now :D I have a few bits on their way that'll take me down to 34.9... after that it's paint-stripping time (34.5), THEN I might consider the bars ;)

Carbon bars, tune hubs & air front and back would see me at 33.1 :stupid:
Thats crazy light, the jedi frame is 8.24lbs minus shock and spring but all mounting hardware is on there still.

I like the build but the logos on the m6 are annoying. They just make a nice frame look not that good.

Nothing against the look of the bike the old protos with different stickers just looked better. Still a killer ride for sure.

I'm in the process of trying to get my ride below 40 pounds... we'll see if it happens or not. New fork, brakes, cranks, shifter/derailer, saddle and seatpost should all help.

The only thing that could be stopping me is the wheel set, although the WTB Dual Duties aren't the heaviest, they sure aren't light. And neither are Chunder tires.

Just got it built up last night and pretty happy with the way it turned out. Right at 40 at the moment but a ti spring and an upgraded drivetrain should knock it down a bit more.
sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet color scheme...nice ride.

Did you polish the Saint cranks yourself? If so, how did you do it?

The original plan was to make the crank look like an XTR, but someone decided to toss all my stuff in a big pile and ruined the paint job that was drying. All I did was sandblast the crank, then smoothed out the scratches and gradually sanded it down with finer and finer sandpaper. Then I started the polishing on a bench grinder with an 8" buffing wheel. I used two different compounds to get the finish nice and smooth.

I changed that retarded Daredevil spacer out for some carbon fibre ones, I would have converted all my spacers to CF, but we ran out.

42.26lbs, not bad at all for a basically stock bike.

Can I ask how you got the X-9 mech to work with 6 speed?
I just tried to set up mine for 6 speed and the limit stop screws will only alow it to limit to 8, I even tried replacing the low screw for a longer one, but after limiting it to 7 speed it fouls the other side of the cage stopping you getting the higher gears.
