What do you do when you have to work on something but NOTHING of value comes out and you can't seem to get a decent start?

I have a 20-25 page paper due on Wednesday and have almost nothing at the moment. I barely know what I'm doing, I have only vague direction and this is a rather big deal for me. I am at DEFCON 2.

I have resorted to drinking Wild Turkey for *inspiration*. This is bad.

Start putting words down. Do not try to force them into making sense. Eventually ideas will coalesce. Discard or edit as appropriate.

I'm waving. Can you see me now?
You live in New Haven? Do you wanna ride the skate park today? I will be down there. I am sure the box jump and the naked gnomes on the walls will give you some inspiration. Or you could just look at porn.

I know absolutely nothing on the topic. I definitely agree with writing an outline first and see if that helps.

Wrote several pages today and came to the conclusion that my thesis must essentially be reversed because I don't believe it anymore. CRAP.

"Faith is the regalia of the Godhead, you say. Alas! dearest father, if you believe that without this faith no one can attain to salvation in the next world, nor to tranquility in this - and such, I know, is your belief - oh! then pray to God to grant it to me, for to me it is now lost. I cannot believe that he who called himself the Son of Man was the true, eternal God; I cannot believe that his death was a vicarious atonement."
