Yes it would.

Another company was making a similar walking beam FSR link with a concentric pivot, but could not import to the states due to it. Who they are I can't remember though!

I thought the whole point of the bb-centric pivot with horst link was to dodge that patent?

you cannot dodge the patent if the link next to the axle is below and infront of the rear axle, that's what causes the suspension to behave the way it does
