based on the information you've given I'd pick the dorado. Not because I like them any more, actually I've never ridden either fork. I just think anybody who actually considers a dorado is short changing themself if they don't just pony up for one.
That said neither of those forks are really freeride oriented, if you're doing very agressive freeride you should probablly look at some slightly heavier forks.

The 888 seems pretty freeride-oriented to me. Several riders used it in the Red Bull Rampage, which is about as aggressive as it gets (in terms of hucking, anyway).
