I'm headed to Chico Tomorrow, and want to ride upper Bidwell on Thursday. I know it's been raining alot, so how are the trails? I picked up a map at North Rim Adventure Sports the last time I was there. I've been told to take the north rim as far as it goes, then take the "B" trail back. I noticed there were several double black diamond sections on the map. Is there alot of climbing? I plan on bringing my RFX with a single chainring, and 66. Or should I throw on a triple crank, and front der? Are there any other trails I should check out?

if you have someone to help shuttle with you...start at the red gate or disc golf course for more DH oriented trails...in Bidwell, there's always pedaling and uphills...the north rim trail is uphill until the B trail, then some DH and flats

sorry, the red gate and disc golf are located up 32 towards forest ranch...both are on the left side of the road
