I have been riding consistently considering my work schedule, about 150 miles a week of i'm lucky. never below 100 miles. on a 27 pound XC mountain bike on the road.
i bonked really bad this weekend. DH race with lots of pedaling. I could not stand up in the pedals for any significant amount time.
I have done no springing on my road training rides at all. It is obvious that i have to do this.
I ride by myself. Has anyone else started from a complete ZERO like me and made improvment?
What do you suggest for me? my next race is in 30 days. What is realistic to expect for such a short time.
