Need it to melt quickly. The Thursday Night Series (sorry gang, I'm an xc geek) starts, and the qualifier for Leadville was moved from July 10th to July 24th. Hey, maybe I can now do Downieville and the qualifier in the same month?? Nah, I'm not independently wealthy yet and can only afford one plus the Series.
Do you mean the GRT? If so that has been moved to the end of August. Still a ton of snow up top but the good news is that it's melting fast. I'm curious about the 16th. It says on the website that they will be open on Thursday.
Any clue on Mammoth? I heard June 24th, but then I also heard from someone who was up there this weekend that they have a TON of snow still and she doesn't know how they will open up in two weeks.
Dang... jsut talked to the "guy" at the season pass office. he said that they are only opening up from the BASE lodge into town. No lifts, just the bus.
So no DH either.. Just up/downtown, and maybe the lower part of Shotgun. all pretty easy trails.

Yeah I relocated to California a few years back. I think you are remembering/referring to a friend of mine, Mulestar. He's still taking pictures I think.

Wife and I just did a day trip yesterday. Personally, don't bother-- wwaayy too much snow. Only listed 4 trails open, and if I can't go to the top and ride the Kamikazee, I don't bother.
Granted, it sure was a purdy day down there..........
Yeah I built trails, I dropped out of school and rode Pisgah (Asheville area) and DuPont a ton, started photography but I wasn't the one normally taking the photos. Mulestar is the photo guy. I used to take videos and whatnot, but tried some photography. I left the east coast a few years ago. Now out west. Let me know if you want to shuttle or hit up some lifts, or some all-mountain, even XC; its all fun.
