No heli, cable car all the way to the top.wow... that looks epic!!! Do you take the helicopter up or something??? Now i gotta put Sweden in the list of places to ride...
It goes to flat for a while, then a short uphill (maybe 10 metres) a then you are on a flat again which then leads to some more downhill. I'll post a pic when I get home.on the second to last picture does the slope of the trail transition to flat or does it start to go back up again?
Lift access.off da hook!!! Is it lift access or shuttle?
Cool video! Yeah was like 2 degrees Celcius at the top when those pics were taken.I came home from Are a week ago. Almost all snow was gone from the upper sections. First poster's pics looks like freezing cold.
You can get about 12 min run at longest if you ride without breaks from the very top to all the way down. My opinion is, it's the best place to ride in the Scandinavia: nice trails for everyone's taste, very good lifts and cabin(s), cheap lodges in summer time, everyone understands English and shops have pretty good stock of spare parts. If you go there to party, I think you should go some other time than in july (I have been there now for two times and the village is QUIET).
For ppl more interested about Are:
Last year's video from our Are trip is up on my ridingJKLcom-channel in pinkbike. We did some filming this year too, I'll be releasing it later...
None of the pictures are taken on fireroads... The pictures from above the tree-line is from a MTB-specific line. The ones below treeline are also just for MTB.Looks like a lot of fireroad-riding.
yes unfortunately that's true, isn't it the last time this year for this festival in are? anybody know why?
There has to be. Swedish people do a lot of caravaning.we're planning atm a trip for 2009, are there some special places for motorhomes?
The secret is to change jersey before every shotI'm trying to figure out how you kept a white jersey clean.
