hey there,
well i have been looking at getting some platforms for dhing (since ive been running clips for awhile). pedal wise im fairly sorted either going for 5050s or soljams. but my major problem is finding a good shoe.
now i see many people are running the 5.10 shoes, they look great and i have been thinking of running them. but i thought i would look around for something else. and so far i have found this

the shimano site offers a 360 view here: http://bike.shimano.com/catalog/cycle/products/shoe.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441786230&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302050756&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395181674&bmUID=1171337938530
so i thought i would see if anyone is running these sheos and if they would be worth their while. they are around half the price of the 510s. just cant find too many reviews on them

I would consider checking out the new E-13 Staccato 8 pedals as they are very light and look like no other pedal. and if you do end up with 5050s, go for the 5050xx (the ones with the set screws)

And as for shoes, 5.10's are the way to go, they use climbing rubber soles and stick to pedals like not other shoe has ever done before...i would almost consider them something in between clips and flats with normal skate style shoes.

I've always ridden in Vans and tried some of those in Whistler. They seemed way tackier than I wanted and narrow (not so much the fit, but narrow on the pedal compared to Vans).

I'd like a less sticky 5.10.
