It works...on the drive side. Which for my case is fine since te GXP drive side cup was trashed and not the non drive one.
The shimano XT bb cups are thinner as with the threaded part shorter. On the driveside, I had to put one BB cup spacer to match the GXP cup protrusion. The added bb spacer took away maybe 2.5mm or so of the thread depth but there's still plenty to grab the BB shell.
The non drive side is a diff story. Spacing it to match the GXP protrusion leaves very little thread depth. I don't want to risk it.
GXP BB cups replacement coming in next week. The shimano driveside bb cup works as a temporary (but I think it could be permanent) replacement.
i have a saint crank and have blown the bb, i was wondering if i could just replace it with deore or xt bb, they are like a fraction of the price and visualy i could find any difrences except for the color, anybody has any information on this?

GXP bb's actually have a smaller bearing ID on the non-drive side bearing.
The sram GXP spindle has a step on the non-drive side just before the splines. When you install a GXP spindle through a GXP BB, the step meets with the inside of the non-drive bearing. Then, when you install the non-drive crank arm and fasten the crank bolt, the crank bolt pulls the spindle outwards and the non-drive crank arm inwards, sandwiching that non-drive bearing in between the spindle step and the non-drive crank. The drive-side bearing is "floating" and the non-drive is "captured" under the crank bolts tourqe.
