Yesterday, a weld broke on my airborne xc bike, and since i dont want to end up with a Flyte bike for the warranty replacement, i am just going to switch brands.

I have been looking at the Salsa Moto Rapido frame. It seems to be the best deal out there for an alloy/carbon frame. Since i work at a bike shop i can get a pretty decent deal on it.

Any comments on this frame or suggestions on other hardtail frames for the same budget?

I've seen a ton of these frames and they are downright beautiful. Half our team rides one (bikeman.com). The details are incredible and the price is pretty good too. You won't go wrong with one. They all love the frame and geometry. There's probably a review of it up on bikeman.com somewhere that's written by one of the racers.
