I wanted to post this in the official IH Sunday thread but I'm not seeing it any more??? Anyway...the Vivid that came on my '08 WC is fully clapped out. I'm getting the hard sell on a Rockshox Kage because I'm not flush with cash...is this thing any good? and what is meant by the kind of tune available for it???

Does the shock need a special tuning for the DW link??

Read through that, but the general consensus is to use the lightest tune available. My mid tune vivid was badly overdamped with a 300lb spring on my sunday.

Find a second hand Fox RC2 or RC4. And get out the dremel. WAAAAAAAAAAY better way to spend your money.
