So anyone have advice/tips/pointers for getting the old cable out of my SRAM X.0s?

I got them with cable installed, but I need to remove the old and install new cable as i'm going from a HT to a FS frame with these suckers.

I couldn't get the old cable out though and didn't want to F up the shifters by trying some hack job.

Can anyone help!?
