I'd like to put a 02 Boxxer on my hardtail (2003 Banshee Scirocco) but I think 178mils of travel is too much for me and the bike (but it is still warrantied with a 7 inch fork) so can I reduce the Boxxer to 6 inches somehow? If it's not possibe or requires half a new fork in parts then I'll have to get a Slider or 03 Race....

Thx in advance for your help.

it would be overly expensive to convert the 2002 to 6"

you are better off getting the slider. but for 2004 it also has 7" of travel. but spv goes a long way to help in pedal.

Would be to get taller topout springs...1 inch taller to be exact. (spacers will work, too, but will be even harder to find)

Then just trim the spacers on the coils to come down one inch.

This probably won't be cheap, but it would work.
