hallo there! i am studying full suspension designs and have some questions:
1. what i understand is that chain growth is necessary in order to limit pedal bob aka anti squat. this means that some chain growth leads to high anti squat and high pedal kickback. limited chain growth leads to low antisquat and low pedal kickback.
is that correct?
2. is brake jack a myth? can someone analyse that? is there any suspension example which has brake jack?
3. what exactly show the line a1 and a2?
a1 shows the ability to resist pedal bob? (high a1% means better pedalling efficiency?)
a2 shows the ability to increase brake induced squat? (high a2% ,means more rear suspension squat under braking?)
how do i reduce pedal squat?
4. in high pivot design the rear axle path is rearward, so the chainstays lengthen as the suspension is compressed. is it a good idea to make them short (in unloaded position)? eg. 400mm if the rearward disposition is 5cm. (so they'll be 445mm approximately in bottom out)
