Super warm today with dry trails and I slice a big hole in my rear tire trying to go around some runners on the trail. At least close to the car so I drove home and did a road ride.

Well...better than:
I did some work in a foundry and in the required training class to enter the facility we were told that fork trucks carrying molten steel have the right of way. Drivers were instructed to not brake hard if a pedestrian got in their way as getting hit by the truck was better than having molten steel spilled on you.
