hi guys

I have a L\L tune RC4 (240mm)

and a M\M tune RC4 (216mm)

I want to make the shorter RC4 a L\L tune.

I don’t need to use the longer shock any more so was thinking of swapping the shims from the L\L shock into the M\M shock.

but....

will it be enough to swap only the parts in #1

or also the parts in #2?

please help

Unless you want an L/M or an M/L, then yes.

I'm not an expert, but I assume you'll need to change both as the high speed compression valve assembly is in the reservoir - http://www.ridefox.com/dl/resources/bike-PDFs-Cutaways-bvfit.pdf

There are different versions of the DSC assembly (#2 in your pic) depending on year model / version of RC4, so in some cases the DSC from one RC4 will not fit another. They can have slightly different dimensions.

However if that's the case, it's very easy to simply swap the shimstacks from the DSC pistons (instead of swapping the entire assemblies). In some cases the shim configuration may be the same and then you won't need to do anything, but it's not hard to check either way.
