I just got back "on the wagon". . . after a few weeks of eating crap, I've gone back to keeping track of my intake and keeping it balanced (trying to stay 40/30/30). For me, this means less fat and carbs, and a lot more protein (like 50-60g more) than my usual crappy diet. It also means spreading the intake out to 5-6 "meals" a day instead of just 3.

So now I'm hyper: I've done 10 flights of stairs today, when I only "need" to do 4. I do heel-raises under my desk all day. I feel great, but either the increased metabolism, the extra protein, or something just makes me wanna move constantly. From experience, I know this will continue as long as I keep the eating on track.

Does anyone else experience this? Is it normal?

Decreasing sugar in your diet will make you feel more energetic.
Nobody sed I had to put down the pipe :D

Still gotta work on decreasing sugar. It comes with my caffeine tho (no change in that intake - 2-3 doses/day).

less sugar and simple carbs might give you more energy. sugar bombs cause insulin spikes, after that, you crash. no crash = more sustained long term energy. that's been my experience anyway, good luck!
