If you own a Specialized, it voids the warranty to get it painted anywhere besides Class Act Coatings in Portland, Oregon. I'm getting my Demo painted once I get back into the states, and it's going to be sick. Custom paint seems like a very worthwhile investment. Let's see some custom painted bikes.

If they use a standard process, it will not damage the frame. Just about any company will no longer honor a frame that has been repained by someone other than themselves.

You want to use a shop that has done frames in the past and knows what they are doing. It should run about $100 to $150 depending on color choice and materials.

Just know that your frame won't be covered under warranty. If that doesn't matter, then you good to go.

Can Class Act do ano work that won't void warranty?

Just curious, what color is your Demo going to be?

Olympic powder coating does tons of OEM coats and thus probably won't void the warrenty. They do allthe stock paint for Foes, Intense, Chumba, and mabye Turner as well as a few others that I can't think of at the minute

Vacum Metal Coatings in Santa Ana, CA does a lot of contract work for Olympic, and Wayne the GM is a rider himself.

They turned this:

Yes, Class Act is the only company Spesh won't void a warranty with. It's on the faq on the website.

If I told you the color, I'd have to kill you. Hopefully it'll stand out from the crowd. Just gotta figure out when I have time/money to get it down.

Have you ever seen Brandon Sloan's pink/purple Demo? It's sick. Ano w/ stock stickers and everything. It was on leelikesbikes in a story about whistler. You should check it out.

Yeah, I saw and rode with those dudes up there at Whistler during CrankWerxs and saw that frame. Some other Specialized guy had another color Demo. Bearclaw is gonna be on a sick blue one, someone posted pics on here. Mine's gonna be powder coated and shiny. I'm even gonna paint the rims and hubs, but those will be rattlecan painted. It's time to try to stand out from the crowd a little, have a professional appearance, and I'll be selling the frame after the season most likely. I still really prefer the black anno D8 color to the silver anno. Although what I really want is a chrome plated Demo, I don't have that much $ to waste.

Does anyone in here know if there are any company in europe that can do custom paintings without voiding the warranty?

I have a specialized frame that I gladely would like to "switch paint" on.

Maybe I just should e-mail specialized.

Yeah, I like my black D8 but I kinda want a baby blue/black scheme like one of my BMXs had. I really like that color.
