New foster dog, taken in last night, named Stormy. 5 month old, 26 pound bundle of love and energy. She is expected to be 50-75 pounds fully grown. No idea what her breed is but I am thinking she's some sort of bully mix. She slept all night in her crate without making a peep. This will not be a foster fail; we are fostering her because there was a need for it.

In the bathroom, fighting a battle
Pour one out for Alice and give your doggos and extra pet for her. Totally normal happy pup Tuesday, yesterday she was hurting, struggling to breathe and had a distended stomach, vet diagnosed her with lung cancer and recommended we make plans within a week. Scheduled the vet to come by Saturday, but had to reschedule for this morning. Poor pup was in tons of pain even with Tramadol, couldn’t make her live like that another couple days as much as I wish I could. Tough but right decision, gunna miss this goofball.

Thanks folks, luckily the kiddo isn’t quite connecting the dots, was super worried that he’d be a mess, Alice was his “Piggy Queen”

:stupid: it's not an easy decision but it's the right one. I had a vet tell me one time that it's usually best for the pup sooner than later. As much as it sucks to say..
Yeah, vet gave us the same spiel, make plans while you can, don’t wait too long and put her through any undue pain and end up having to take her to the 24hr vet while she’s yelping. She couldn’t even snuggle last night, so it was time. Don’t think even waiting for the weekend would have been fair to her

Hank's stash. The fact his stick is now shorter than the cheese bone is hilarious. But he likes to have at least 2 toys with him in his kennel.

My dog handler assignment for the adoption event today was this handsome boy named Skeeter. Very sweet and chill one year old. Nobody adopted him but there was a lot of interest. With his calm and affectionate demeanor, he won't be available for very long.

Our foster dog has giardia, which explains the wet poops. It also eases the wife's concern that we've been feeding her wrong. Poor puppy. On another note, she is now house trained, leash trained, and crate trained after coming to us straight off the truck. I doubt all foster homes do this.

Damn man, sorry to hear it. But yeah, your vet was right. My S.O. is a vet and I can't tell you the number of stories she's told me about people who refuse to let go and instead let their animal suffer for way too long. It's said either way but only made worse by letting it drag on.
