Can you re-paint the lowers on a fork?

any for really. take a fox van 136 for example. does it matter which fork? i was told you can't paint them.

it does depend. for example. most fox fork are made of magnesium wich is a combustable metal. so if you sand or polish too much you will have a gnarly shop fire on your hands.

right that is what i thought. what if you use some kind of stripper? and i don't mean your local strip club.

start with a stripper and a mild wire brush. no power tools, then clean is with mild sand paper and use primer.

You can paint anything except the seals and stantion tubes.
