Hi,

I bought a bike with two Schwabble Muddy Mary 26x2.5 tires

I want to mount a Maxxis Minion DHR2 2.4 inch only for the rear

The 2.5 Schwabble witch remains on the front is not very used as you can see in the foto. I know that is not recomended to have a new tire on the rear and a used one on the front. I do this to save some money because I have to buy other expensive parts. Do you guys think I am going to have problems on the track? How bad can it get?

Could you give me an advise?

it's all about the front tire dude .. period.

Mount the DHR 2 on the front. One of the best breaking tires, period. And it corners very well too.

Yeah it sucks if the front lets go before the rear, I usually use a tyre on the front for a while then throw it on the rear 'til it dies.

However I recently went from a completely trashed Ardent to a new Scwalbe and lost traction, such a crap tyre(whatever I have is anyway).

Just go ride for two days and then your new rear tire will look like your used front tire.
