The race even brought out local road racing and cross country biking legend Ned Overend. Despite switching to the foreign downhill event, Overend, who was featured in a Sports Illustrated Red Bull Divide and Conquer story this week, finished second in his expert classification.

Purgatory Downhill Series
The NORBA sanctioned five race series will run on Sunday afternoons at 1 pm, open to all levels of racers. The course will start from teh top of DMR's Twilight lift (4) and finish at the base area, dropping nearly 1000 vertical feet and running over sections of the NORBA, World Cup and World Championship courses. Prizes will be awarded for different divisions at the after race party at Purgys. NORBA points will be awarded to members.

woa, the junior begginer winning time was a 4:50 and the winning pro time was a 4:20? Were there seperate courses?
