In a Van(couver) down by the river
OK, here's the basics:

Sinister Splinter MX; freerider (WA, BC, North Shore/Whistler - which means I do pedal up from time to time); working up to the 8'+ range for drops (which I like); jumps and gaps are rapidly improving; ~200 lbs in all my gear. Currently running a stock 5th Element w/a 500 lb spring which is going to cost more to service than it is worth. :disgust: Fork is a modified Sherman Breakout + which is really quite nice (after the mods).

What shock would you run, given the choice between a Fox DHX 5, Avy Montie, Avy Chubie, Marzocchi ROCO - and WHY?

Thanks for the input!

Avy no question. Now that you can get them with the hi/lo adjustment, they pedal pretty darn well. I love mine. When I buy a bike now, I call Craig to make sure an Avy will fit. If an Avy wont fit, I look for another bike.

Avy.. They are just the best shocks out there (Short of CC Double Barrel) And, if you get them dialed, you will never have to worry about them again.
