So I have an 08 flak jacket, and it's fairly comfortable once I've got it on, but getting in and out of it is a total pain in the butt. My particular problem is that the mesh around the bicep/forearm gets all hung up. I have a separated shoulder from last season and I can literally feel it slipping out when I pull the jacket on and off.
I'm thinking about modifying it by cutting out some of the mesh or something, and I'm wondering if anybody else has had issues with this and has a good solution. I'd rather not ruin the thing if I can avoid it. Will the mesh unravel if it's cut or is it some kind of "rip stop" material. I'm just not sure the straps will hold the arm guards in place well enough.
