intresting idea, sounds great for road car use, but for any other application, for example MTBs from the sound of it you wouldnt be able to change tire preassures, this would also rule it out for any form of motor racing.
but i suppose it really wasnt designed for this sort of application.
but then again thats just me e-speculating :p

Not true. My buddy who's sponsored by michelin uses a similar foam insert system for racing dirt bikes.

Yep, they've been making those for bikes for quite a while.

They roll off the rim if you go into a turn at high speed.

these aren't the foam junkers you know of:

The tire is made from 115 rings of tough resin laced with glass fiber and remains roadworthy even when shot with a rifle.
