Has Maxxis put the DHR II out as a tubeless yet? I am burning through Geax rear tires like it was a profession, and honestly they're a bit slippery for my taste when it comes to turning. After reading Kidwoo's review, I kinda want to get me a set and see if they're worth the $140 buy in per pair.

Or would they work as tubeless if I put some stans in there?

every maxxis dh casing and wire bead tire i've ever tried have all set up tubeless just fine with sealant.

I've got the 60a on front and back on 823's with some stans, no problem. great tire, very fast rolling.

Ive got the 2.40exo on my Trek Remedy with bontrager rim strips and stans. Zero problems. Incredible grip.
