Has anyone used these? Trek was blowing them out in a 2.25 ust model and I'm thinking of picking up a few. Looks alittle like the Nevegal.

Corners very well. Rolls fine. Squirrely in the wet.

Only remotely similar to and a very different ride than a Nevegal.

I just got some of the 2.25" non-UST versions a while back. Have only ridden them once so far, but so far so good.
It seemed to me (and this could just be me starting my bonk) that they rolled a bit slowly, but again, I only have one ride on them, so I'm not 100% on that.
I got 'em for cheap too, QBP had them on sale. I originally wanted the Mibro Marathons, but they were out. The 2.25" tires I got were pretty damned light too, for what size they were.
I say try 'em.

I used them for a front tire for two seasons. They rule. Small enough in the ceter to roll fast with enough sideknob to lay them over and drift predictably.

The only reason I took them off was because I kept puncturing them.

You only punctured because you suck at riding.
At least, that's what I heard...

So good for a front tire - but what about for a rear tire? Not so good, or still good?

I never used it for a rear. They use a soft compound down the centerline plus the ramped knobs didn't seem like a good idea for the rearzor without switching it around........but then you lose the cupped surface for braking. The softy probably grabs well on rocks but there's so little tread there to begin with, I figured I'd kill the tire quickly. Plus soft compound rears make you roll slower.

That's it.

I'm playing follow my line with you our first ride out. I'm not stopping when I hear the screams either.
No, I think you'll stop. You'll hear them and think it's a woman screaming, but when you get there, nope, just me.
