Hey all,
I'm looking for a new DH/FR bike. I do mostly downhill, with some small freeriding, so I wouldn't say I put a ton of stress on components. I was thinking of buying this build kit, and putting it on a DH/FR frame (Thinking Demo 8 or somewhere along those lines).

Shimano XT 765 Hydro Dual Control Shift/Brake levers
XT 765 Hyd. Disc Calipers
Shimano RT-52 Centerlock Rotors and Xt Disc Cl/Rhyno Lite/Dt Swiss wheelset
Jamis Bar/Stem/Post OE
Truvativ FireX Crank
Shimano Deore Derailleurs
SRAM 950 Cassette
Hutchinson Spider Tires+tubes
WTB Laser SL V OE Saddle
FSA Pig headset, KMC Chain

Can you guys give me some advice on this? What parts are good, what are bad?
I am thinking of changing some of the components, maybe tires, shifters/brakes depending on how I like dual control, and others. Thanks guys!

Overall id say no, some decent bits but some not appropriate for DH, you put stress on components just due the inherent nature of the sport even if you ride very smooth and dont do big jumps.

Dual Control Lever - personal preference but ive never seen anyone run them for DH, i wouldnt even run them for XC dont like the feel
XT brakes - good
Wheelset - ok depends though on what Dt swiss hubs it has 8" rotors?
Deore derailleure - will work ok
FireX cranks - really a lower end XC crank wont take much abuse
FSA Pig Headset - ok
