Anyone running one? Anyone have pics of it on the bike?

www.chunked.com.auI don't have a hope integrated stem. but I do have a chunked one for my 11' Marzocchi evo. Light, strong and very similar than the Hope. Try checking out chunked.com.au for info. Couldn't be happier with mine.
Mauve, Cyan and Burn't Ochre.Super low front ends = boring trend
Thanks for the heads-up. What colours are hot off the runway this DH season..
i did the math before i bought my point one, and it was negligible....only a few gramsHow much lighter is this than say, a stock 40 crown with point one stem?

Reason for the question is that the Fox 40 I have in my possession, the top crown doesn't have holes for a direct mount stem. Trying to kill two birds with one stone. Fox wants too much money for a new top crown with drilled/tapped DM holes.
Oh, my question was actually a serious one haha!Reason for the question is that the Fox 40 I have in my possession, the top crown doesn't have holes for a direct mount stem. Trying to kill two birds with one stone. Fox wants too much money for a new top crown with drilled/tapped DM holes.
I remember someone counting that up and the combo is a bit like having an around 100g stem. Though I'm yet to know a <130g stem that inspires my confidence.Oh, my question was actually a serious one haha!
If I were in your position I'd buy one. Just wondering if there is any benefit for someone who already has a DM crown and light stem aside from height.
There are aftermarket top crowns for the 40 that are cheaper, I think I mightReason for the question is that the Fox 40 I have in my possession, the top crown doesn't have holes for a direct mount stem. Umm...it is lower than most normal DM stems, it is lighter than most DM stems, it is stiffer than most DM stems...I guess it's just bling.so what is the purpose of the whole setup? it isnt lower than a normal dm stem, isnt lighter, jsut the bling?
Usually you have to choose between light and durable/stiff. Not here. What is so hard to understand? It's a light stem for hacks and heavy people.Umm...it is lower than most normal DM stems, it is lighter than most DM stems, it is stiffer than most DM stems...I guess it's just bling.
cant speak for the 40, but my 888 ti crown with stem is at 336g, the chunked crown i ordered is supposed to be 225g, so i save 111gOh, my question was actually a serious one haha!

i also doing it because the of the straight crown, the curved 888 crown touches the top tube, need some spacers else.I agree, super low front ends are lame.
There's a point where too low is not helpfull.
But a Chunked crown(not sure about Hope)is lighter than a PO1NT set up for Boxxers, not sure about 40s. But with spacers and steerer tube to get it back up to the bar height of the PO1NT set up, it might be the same weight, and that's where I'd run it, or with higher rise bars, but same effect of more weight.
So in short, do it if you have 888s, or non direct mount crowns. IMO.
No pros run there bars as low as a Hope crown without spacers, and that's not a forced by sponsors choice like most things stopping you from using pros as an example for.
It's all to do with BB and bar height relation. Not just bar height. Yes BBs are getting lower, but not that low.
I'm re-quoting my own question caus' I'd really like to know where the forces go with this type of setup...I was fondling these in my lbs the other day. very tempting. very very tempting indeed. But I've got to wonder, where does the stress go if I nose case a drop or a gap? I've had that problem before, and noticed that my stem had slipped. But with this setup, what would take the abuse? the bars? the stanchions? the other crown? what would I need to watch for signs of failure? these are honest questions, I'm not throwing the hate around...
i would think based on how stout the setup is, the handlebar will take the brunt of the force, and the stanchions and steerer don't take too much...that's all hypothetical though, as i'm no engineerI'm re-quoting my own question caus' I'd really like to know where the forces go with this type of setup...
Yeah no ****. Like that stupid wide ass handle bar trend that didn't die 3 years ago...or 2 years ago..or last year...but this year. This year will be the year that the dumb trend dies. Thank God.Super low front ends = boring trend.
At least there is a dynamic market so people can get paid.
Actually I see alot of people that started at 31+ rolled back to ~29ish. Care to disagree?Yeah no ****. Like that stupid wide ass handle bar trend that didn't die 3 years ago...or 2 years ago..or last year...but this year. This year will be the year that the dumb trend dies. Thank God.
