OK.. Alot of people have been asking about the Marzocchi/ 5-10 shoes... I got a little info for all of you...

Expected arrival date, somewhere around Jan. 2007.

MSRP, about $115.

Sizes, 8-13 in half sizes.

Now, here is where I need a little help... What size would you need? I am trying to help figure out the percentages on the sizes to order...

Thanks alot!!

Don't five tens run bigger? thought I heard somewhere that you should get a 1 size smaller.

11 if that's the case, 12 if it's not.

And a shotglass

A couple things on the MSRP... 1) It can still change. 2) Our shoe is going to a more limited production than the standard 5-10 shoes. That always brings up the price per unit..

As for sizing, I have an old pair of 5-10s, and I have found the sizing to be pretty close to that of most normal athletic shoes...

does this mean that 5.10 will still be selling shoes under their own brand name, or are they simply reducing their involvement in the mtb world to marzo's market expectations?

I saw in a recent magazine an ad about Sam Hill and Nathan Rennie issue 5.10 shoes. I think Hill's was a low top and Rennie's is a high top. very cool stuff. I think 5.10 is staying in the game direct this time around. lessons learned.

great. i see an oligopoly about to kick the consumers' butts. $80 shoes that are already in high demand being supplied by one company (5.10). another company (marzo) enters the market and rebadges THE EXACT SAME PRODUCT with a cooler logo and brand name and jacks the price up $35 (a 44% increase over the original cost). then the first company then signs industry names to promote a product that sells itself based on quality, regardless of image. my prediction, the first company jacks up the price too. benefit to consumer = nothing. benefit to the companies = 44% more $$$ (a bit more than inflation, i think).

Brian - glad to see you here asking for rider input... even if some of that input has a "Rage Against the Machine" vibe to it...:wonky2: :)

I would need a size 10.5 shoe...

PLUS, a prototype 888 ATA/SL "Air" in the 203mm variety.:D
