Been out of the loop for awhile now, so I could use some recommendations for rims...I have a CK 20mm hub up front and a bolt on CK rear hub converted to SS. Both are 36 hole.

Straight guage v's D/B spokes?

Already decided on brass nips, and rims must be welded.

The last wheelset I had were the above hubs w/ rhyno lite XLs, brass nips and 14/15 DB spokes - no complaints, just wondering what else to consider.

I use Alex Rim D24's. They are honestly the best rim I've used and I put them through some serious abuse. And SUPER SUPER SUPER cheap.

dt double butted should be fine and itll save some wieght

db double or tripple butted if you can afford them and know a good wheel builder. also i always have loved mavic rims (d521/721 is the new name i think) strong, light, look sick as ****, and can run v's if you ever need too.

I'm running Arrow FRX rims. Not much heavier than the Rhyno, but much tougher and better looking.

Agreed.

Mavic 721. Best weight to strength out there. Black or silver. I run black on my DJ and silver on my FR. Perfect rim.
