I have ridden a pair of old Dainese shorts for a long time. One of the best features was this locking button on the pants (see picture).



I am trying to find a similar style button to put on another set of shorts but despite a long google search I have come up empty. My local seamstress is also clueless (not confidence inspiring). Essentially the button slips into a sliding mechanism and the button then can't come undone. Pure Genius. If someone can help me with the name for this type of button or where it may be available, I would be greatful.

Have you tried Dainese? Maybe they could tell you their supplier?

That is a pretty cool idea, especially now that I'm older and having problems like buttons popping open

Well, I found a Chinese supplier, but (luckily) I don't need 1,000+ buttons. So the search continues.
