I could use some help folks.

My 14 year old would like me to help him (he'll be pitching in a little $$) get a new BMX bike.

His old Haro F5 will go to his younger brother.

What are some good brands/values/bikes out there for say $300.00 or so that would fit the bill.

If it helps, my son is 5'11" tall and still growing and would mainly be using the bike for park type riding, and the like.........not so much for dirt jumping......but still something versatile would probably make the most sense.

Any help/leads/or maybe even offers on your old bikes would be appreciated.

mostly anything you can find on www.empirebmx.com , albes.com, and danscomp.com will be good.

at his height, be sure to get a long frame (21" top tube instead of 20") and taller bars (8"+ instead of 7.5").

Yes.

After a few months of pounding the crap out of it, he can upgrade the parts and frame as he sees fit.
