Me and the GF are heading to Vegas for Supercross finals. I've never been to Vegas or a Supercross race. Anything I have to do or see while I'm there?

What the pre-race stuff like in the pits?

I need to take her out for a reasonably nice dinner at least one night. It'll be our first real trip away without 4 kids in tow.

That's a given. I'm not gambler so the casino won't keep me entertained.

I don't gamble either but have always found people watching at casinos to be a lot of fun. I will give you this advice: Identify where the emergency exit stairs are after you decide to trash some cougars hotel room and security comes looking for you. Security is typically lazy and will only take the elevators.

I'd say check out the motorcycles, the dirtbikes, the motocross bikes, the powered dirt scooters. Ummm, ya!

Ok, actually there's some pretty cool places to see and stay there. Our family flew out there and spent a few days at the Venetian. Awesome hotel...

Just walk the strip and check out the obvious sites. The stuff off the strip sucks. For food...ummm, vegas has a lot of good buffets that are not super expensive (like $30/person) and has some really good food.

Mandalay Bay and Belagio have good buffets, but are $25-30. If you want a nice dinner, there is always the top of the Eiffel at Paris. There are a few nice restaurants in the Venetian. Don't stay off the strip like already mentioned. I prefer the south end of the strip for the most part. Check out the water show in front of the Belagio. The lady will like it and it's pretty cool. Women also like walking through the Forum shops at Ceasers, just to window shop. Vegas is fun to wander around if you have never been, but it gets old after a while. Honestly, for food, we normally drive off strip to Morton's for a nice dinner.

You "need to see" how many beers you can smuggle into the race, it's crazy how much they charge.

We're staying at NY NY. I know she wants to got to Freemont St and do some shopping somewhere. I think some pirate show and the fountain thing is on the list too.

If we had the kids the buffets would be awesome since at least one kid always wants something different. I think a nicer sit down dinner would probably make her happy.

The Eiffel tower would be cool to eat at. I assume it has a good view of the strip.

I'm really just going for the race and luckily she enjoys watching SX. I could care less about seeing the lights of Vegas.

The guy at the Parking garage that sells weed, meth, viagra, and many other things. Will leave you alone if you buy a Lakers hat. It really is your cheapest option.... I thought it was funny how many Lakers hats were in the Garbage by the Elevator up to the Hotel. That and how bad folks from Missouri smell..
