The Frenchies are all clean. That's why they haven't won since the 80s.Whoever that guy is, something tells me that he is the only clean guy in le tour.
LOL....I think its more like they don't have the technology to blood dopingThe Frenchies are all clean. That's why they haven't won since the 80s.
It seems that someone forgot to tell Moreau and Virenque...The Frenchies are all clean. That's why they haven't won since the 80s.
So I suppose you are also down on football, baseball, basketball, golf, WWF, Governor Arnie, and Sylvester Stallone? At least cyclists have the excuse that they are actually trying to do something difficult. At this point who gives a ****, they are all dirtbags. They should just allow it all and see who ruptures an artery first. Now that would make the Tour fun to watch...
"It's a sprint to the finish between Gigantor and Humongazoid, oh and what's this, Gigantor's quads just exploded and Humongazoid slipped in the mess, here comes Stupendous to take the win."
If its so easy then why is he only the second person to test positive? The list from the Spanish bust has around 50 names, all (I believe) doing blood doping and an assortment of other products. It's pretty obvious Ivan Basso blood doped and he never tested positive. Are these guys that stupid to use doping techniques from the dark ages?? It's so easy to test for different blood or exogenous carbon from synthetic drugs. I hope Dr. Ferrari gives Vino back his money- I have a feeling he's going to need it.
same for the rest of the Astana team. That really sucks for them if they weren't involved.I hope Kloden is guilty- otherwise he is getting a really bad deal this year.
Actually, you're right. I don't like most organized sports at all and none of the ones you mentioned even come close to my "Will stop on them while flipping channels on TV" list. As for doing something difficult...what ever happened to busting your ass instead of a vein and making an honest effort? How about all the guys who rode the Tour in the years before blood doping became the new black? So I suppose you are also down on football, baseball, basketball, golf, WWF, Governor Arnie, and Sylvester Stallone? Well, I tried, but when I did a google search for "honest athlete" that's all I got...sorry.your link's broken.
Until cycling clamps down on this crap and dishes out some REAL punishment and consequences (most other sports for that matter) I say they are all guilty by association. Just assume that the rider you are watching is doping and drugged up. Then turn off the TV.same for the rest of the Astana team. That really sucks for them if they weren't involved.
Um, when was that?...what ever happened to busting your ass instead of a vein and making an honest effort? How about all the guys who rode the Tour in the years before blood doping became the new black?
When they thought cigarettes somehow boosted performance.Um, when was that?
That was before the derailleur was invented. I blame doping on the derailleur. When they thought cigarettes somehow boosted performance.
It's not as if these guys are doping instead of training...one without the other doesn't make sense and wouldn't work. Also, doping didn't come about because of a change in mentality. Guys do what they can to get ahead. Now, it's just more easily available.Actually, you're right. Oh, I get that part. I know that doping and training go hand in hand and that these guys are doing whatever they think they can get away with to get ahead. They've been doing it for decades and it's not going to stop any time soon. For every new way to cheat they'll eventually come up with a way to detect it which fuels the search for new ways to cheat. I just think it ruins the essence of competition and I choose not to participate in a tainted contest at any level. It's not as if these guys are doping instead of training...one without the other doesn't make sense and wouldn't work. to stop doping there has to be a major change in the attitudes of the riders. they need to realize that by doping they are tarnishing the legacy of all the great riders who rode the tour without cheating. When someone cheats they can't be compared to anyone who has ridden the same race.
Cheating and not getting caught is not winning.
The same goes for football, baseball and every other sport. At least cycling has a 2 year ban for the first offense and a lifetime ban for the second (as far as I know the NFL's punishment is a "cheating class" for the first offense followed by a 4 game suspension for the second)
At least he has a future in stand up comedy. Kinda like the Yakov Smirnov of cycling. Except Vinokourov is funnier.cyclingnews.com said:Vinokourov did manage a joke about his situation. "I heard that I made a transfusion with my father's blood," Vinokourov said. "That's absurd, I can tell you that with his blood, I would have tested positive for vodka."
All on the dope.this seems to be the purging season the sport has needed to get the dopers outed and eliminated.
does make you wonder about the recent past champions.
Or have the players and drugs gotten better?...^ yeah, but that's baseball.
NFL has been working the issue for a while and it's gotten better while play has maintained an exciting level.
no no, baseball sucks every minute....if you take a mistep at the plate, if you miss, you suck for that minute.
