Good morning. I'm stuck at work. The wife took the day off for a shopping road trip, but I have meetings at the office that I can't miss. Stupid work suckage.

Had a good leg workout at the gym last night...my third legs workout after an MTB-season-long break. I guess MTB does a pretty good job of keeping one's legs strong. :)

morning,

I am going to try to ride tonight. I will have to see how my arm is feeling at the end of the day, but I want to ride damn it! this injury crap sucks!!!!

If I don't ride, there is a bike buildathon going on at "Freeride Pittsburgh" which is a local non profit that repairs and donates kids bikes to needy families, and also sells refurbished bikes at a drastically reduced price.

so no matter what tonight should be a win win, whatever I end up doing!

Have a good day!

awesome Twilight Singers set last night. wow!

mark lanegan was a bit of odd mix, though.
Did you like or not like him? His voice is pretty sweet. Did you just not think it fit the rest of the sound? There is a guy that I heard over the summer who sounds kinda like him named "Gran Bel Fisher" if you can check out a song called "moment" its pretty good.

Morning! Not much going on today in casino land. Got a new (to me) stem and bar in the mail yesterday. O/S Hussefelt bar and Hussefelt stem. Stem is 50mm so it's going to change the feel of my Steelhead quite a bit for the better I think. Except for general trail riding, we'll see how that goes... Should have them mounted up and ready to go for Friday's ride after work. :)

Hey everyone!

We're meeting with a realtor this afternoon to check out a house we found over the weekend. Nice little place across from the local baseball field.....will try and put up pics this evening.

Did some laundry, made a few drinks, cooked some chicken chow mein, and watched "House." Quite the riveting episode.

Morning!

Rode around on a new Haro Mary Singlespeed 29er yesterday after my day in Storrs and on the way to pick up my sons from school. Sweet bike! I must have looked funny riding around with shirt, tie and my dress pants rolled up, but what the hell - it was worth it!

Lots of hours at the rink last night. Back there again tonight for a full ice practice for Connor's team - those are the best.

I've got a little bit of a sore throat and cold though and that sucks. Anyone got any advice as to the latest and greatest over the counter cold remedies??

Five of the randomized clinical trials, which were done in adults, determined that zinc was effective in treating the common cold if the lozenges were started within 24 hours of the onset of cold symptoms. In one study, the lozenges reduced the severity of symptoms (assessed by using a scoring system). In the other four studies, the duration of symptoms was decreased by 3 to 4 days. In all of these trials, the lozenges contained 13.3 to 23.7 mg of elemental zinc and the patients took the lozenges once every 2 hours while awake.

Encourage them to go to college. Tell them about getting wasted, one night stands and experimenting with chemicals.

Start my new job today. I'm still living out of a hotel so I need to decide on an apartment today. I still feel like I'm on vacation though.

no, his voice sounded good as always, but after the 1st three songs that the TS played w/o him, he trotted out on stage, stood behind a mic w/ his eyes closed, sang a couple of songs, and then left. he came out for a couple more @ the encore. just seemed a bit incongruous.

i did see him get in the tour bus w/ some chick as i was leaving the venue, so viva rock n roll.

the TS were really great though...i'll go through the pics tonight and hopefully i got some good ones.

Morning y'all!

Work has been crazy busy ... training my replacement ... being trained for my new job. I made my first important decision today ... I told my assistant that it is ok if she wants to take off next week. Whew, I don't know if I can handle the management part of this job.

Edit: have to share my new office, here's a pic of the guy

Arizona wildlife? Take them on a field trip of ASU girl's dorms. Throw in a rattlesnake story for good measure- How's a rattlesnake like a busted condom? I don't know but I wouldn't screw with either one of them. It's all relevant.

WNR tonight, will probably be a light (no pun intended) ride because part of the group is doing the Tour de Tucson this weekend.

Everyone have a good day.

Did he thump out base g-tar lines on the mic stand as he sang? classic Lanegan! Usually with eyes closed in some far away place.

I can see how it could be kinda disjointed that way.

I still cant get the mental image of him raising an eyebrow as two chicks rolled around and made out (felt eachother up) on stage in the middle of the song/set in Cleveland! funny chit! almost a "what have we here" type of look :rolf:

he kept his hand on the mic stand, and i got a pic of the star tats on his knuckles.

the TS bass player looked a lot like original Whigs bassist john curley, but i'm pretty sure that greg called him scott. he had 'GIVE' and 'TAKE' tattoed across his fingers.

Morning. Just had my first administrator's meeting at which I was introduced. It was short and sweet, but I got to meet some more people (more names to remember! ugh). I also found out that we have a doggy on staff as an administrator. He's so cute and was very well bahaved during the meeting.

closer inspection I noticed he had a beer in one hand, a flashlight in the other and was talking on his cellphone will looking for something in his front yard :twitch:
